SDR++ Frequency Manager Configuration Comprehensive Signals & Frequencies Database This JSON file contains an extensive collection of radio frequencies for various communication modes, including digital data modes, voice packets, amateur radio nets, airband, maritime, and more. Perfect for SDR enthusiasts, ham radio operators, and frequency scanners.

Digital Modes: FT8, JT9, JT65, MSK144, PSK31, RTTY, Packet Radio

Voice Communications: Amateur radio nets (Ireland-focused), Airband (Dublin/Cork/Shannon), Marine VHF

Special Interest: Beacons, SSTV, Meteor Scatter, ADS-B (aircraft tracking), AIS (ship tracking)

Bands Covered: 160m through 23cm, plus airband, marine, and experimental frequencies

Installation Locate your SDR++ root directory

Windows: C:\Program Files\SDR++\ or your custom installation path

Linux: /usr/share/sdrpp/ or ~/.config/sdrpp/

macOS: /Applications/SDR++.app/Contents/Resources/

Backup your existing configuration (important!)

frequency_manager_config.json frequency_manager_config.json.backup Copy the new configuration

Replace the existing frequency_manager_config.json in your SDR++ root directory with this file

If the file doesn't exist, simply place it there

Using the Frequency Manager Launch SDR++

Open the Frequency Manager module

Look for the bookmark/frequency manager icon in the module list

Or access via View → Modules → Frequency Manager

Browse frequency lists

The configuration includes categorized lists (FT8, RTTY, Airband, etc.)

Click on any list to expand and view bookmarked frequencies

Click on a frequency to tune your SDR directly to that signal

Understanding the JSON structure

"mode": Reception mode (0=AM, 1=FM, 4=USB/LSB)

"frequency": Frequency in Hz (e.g., 14074000.0 = 14.074 MHz)

"bandwidth": Filter bandwidth in Hz

"scannable": Include in scanner mode

FT8/JT65 modes are set to USB (mode 4) with 3kHz bandwidth

Airband frequencies use AM (mode 0) for voice

VHF/UHF nets use FM (mode 1) where appropriate

The default selected list is "Amateur Radio VHF Nets" for quick access to local Irish nets

JT65: 3.576MHz (80m), 7.076MHz (40m), 14.076MHz (20m), 21.076MHz (15m)

PSK31: 3.585MHz (80m), 7.045MHz (40m), 14.070MHz (20m)

RTTY: 3.600MHz (80m), 7.040MHz (40m), 14.080MHz (20m), 21.085MHz (15m)

MSK144/Meteor Scatter: 50.260MHz (6m), 144.145MHz (2m), 432.370MHz (70cm)

Airband (Ireland):

Dublin Tower: 118.600MHz (South), 124.680MHz (North)

Dublin Approach: 121.100MHz, 119.930MHz

Shannon Control: 124.700MHz (Low), 135.230MHz (High)

Emergency Guard: 121.500MHz

VOLMET: 127.000MHz (Shannon), 3.413MHz (HF)

Marine:

Dublin Port: 156.625MHz

Coastguard: 156.600MHz

CH16 Emergency: 156.800MHz

AIS Ship Tracking: 161.975MHz, 162.025MHz

Data & Tracking:

ADS-B Aircraft: 1090MHz, 978MHz

APRS: 144.800MHz (2m), 432.500MHz (70cm)

Irish Amateur Nets:

South Dublin RC: 144.330MHz (Daily 8pm SSB)

Mayo MRE: 145.375MHz (Wed 9pm FM)

Cork VHF: 145.475MHz (Tue 9pm FM)

4m Cork Group: 70.2625MHz (Tue 3rd 9pm FM)
