\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 ***The dataset was generated using the API application, using the current data retrieved from the EIA website, a statistical agency affiliated with the U.S. Department of Energy (EIA). \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 'a0 \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***Because the API Key number is personal and time-limited, the API application is illustrated as an example for coding. This data, retrieved from the EIA page, was saved as a CSV file named "global_petroleum_production_consumption," and coding continued with this dataset. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 'a0 \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***The dataset contains the production and consumption of refined petroleum products by year for 10 selected countries. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***The selected countries are: Turkey, the United States, Russia, China, India, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and France. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 'a0 \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***While production data varies by country, it generally covers the years 1985 to 2014, and consumption data generally covers the years 1980 to 2023. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***The unit used for production and consumption is 1000 barrels per day. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 The population of the countries is (population*10^6). \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 'a0 \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 ***The Refined Petroleum Products category represents the sum of various petroleum derivatives obtained by processing crude oil in refineries. \fs32 \

\f0\b\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 The "Refined Petroleum Products" category generally includes the following products: \f1\b0\fs32
\pard\pardeftab720\sa80\partightenfactor0

\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 '95 Gasoline: The primary fuel used in motor vehicles; also known as "motor gasoline" in the United States. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Diesel Fuel: Used in on- and off-road vehicles, trucks, and construction equipment. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Jet Fuel: Fuel used in aircraft (kerosene types). \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Fuel Oil: Heavy fuel oils (such as No. 2 fuel oil and No. 6 fuel oil) used in industry and power plants. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Liquefied Petroleum Gases (LPG): Liquefied gases such as propane and butane; used for both heating and transportation. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Naphtha: Products used as raw materials or solvents in the petrochemical industry. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Petroleum Coke: A solid fuel used in electricity generation and industry. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Asphalt and Bitumen: Heavy residues used in road construction. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Others: \fs32

\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 o Specialty products such as paraffin, wax, and white spirit \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 o Lubricants \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 o Solvents \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 o Other refined products \fs32

\f0\b\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 What is Not Included in Refined Petroleum Products? \f1\b0\fs32
\pard\pardeftab720\sa80\partightenfactor0

\fs26\fsmilli13333 \cf0 '95 Crude oil itself is not included in this category; only processed products are covered. \fs32 \

\fs26\fsmilli13333 '95 Natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) are tracked in a separate category (although some EIA tables may include LPG derived from NGLs). \fs32

About

This project examined Global Production and Consumption Quantities of Refined Petroleum Products using EIA data. The data was visualized, yielding meaningful results. Deep learning and machine learning predict models were developed to predict US future consumption. For Turkish Article : https://medium.com/@aydogdunurdan
