At DGA, the Dominican Republic's customs authority, I’ve worked on VUCE RD, a platform used to manage import and export permits across multiple regulatory agencies.
The platform supports workflows for contributors, internal users, and government entities. My work has included backend development, API design, integrations, and helping evolve the system from a legacy module into a more independent and scalable platform.
I helped build a configurable rules system that allows business teams to define validation logic without requiring code changes or new deployments.
The system supports dynamic object configuration, rule definitions based on data types, and searchable fields for business-specific entities such as products, tariffs, brands, and other domain data.
I was the main developer behind the integration between the core customs platform and the Dominican Republic’s national electronic invoicing system.
This involved connecting internal systems with external government services and ensuring reliable data exchange across critical business processes.
As a freelance developer, I worked on a modernization project in the insurance sector, focused on building backend components for a multi-channel notification platform.
The system allowed other modules to send notifications through multiple channels:
- Real-time browser push notifications with SignalR
- Email notifications through SMTP and SendGrid
- SMS notifications through C3ntro
- WhatsApp notifications using the official Meta API
- Asynchronous processing with Azure Service Bus and background workers
