Introduction to sections, templates and forms

Choose a tag to compare

@dot-legal dot-legal released this 11 Sep 05:18

Introducing new concepts:

  • Sections: A group of clauses, such as the General/Miscellaneous section in a standard contract.
  • Templates: A group of sections and clauses that form the base of a contract. These clauses will generally be non-contentious, balanced and will not include fields. They get to the heart of the issue. For example, the standard set of confidentiality obligations and exceptions that are present in virtually every non-disclosure agreement are grouped in the non-disclosure-agreement template.
  • Forms: A form includes a reference to a template and optionally some sections and clauses. The idea is that the end-users will print and sign the forms, filling out the fields, making choices, but accepting the templates and other references intact.
