WritHer v1.1.0

New Features

  • Full Settings panel: Ollama model/URL, Whisper model, language, microphone - all from tray menu
  • Portable data paths: DB, logs, recovery stored in %APPDATA%/WritHer (exe mode)
  • Recovery file rotation at 500KB

Bug Fixes

  • Toggle mode (Ctrl+R): fixed double-press issue with debounce
  • Sample rate: mics with 48kHz default (e.g. Logitech C310) now work correctly
  • Widget feedback: shows minimal icons instead of overflowing text
  • Brand icons: pre-generated in bundle, no write to _internal needed

Requirements

  • Windows 10/11
  • Ollama running locally (for assistant mode)
  • Internet on first launch (downloads Whisper model ~74MB)

Installation

  1. Download WritHer-v1.1.0-win64.zip
  2. Extract to any folder
  3. Run WritHer.exe

Tips

  • The tray icon may be hidden in the overflow area (^ arrow). To keep it visible: Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Other system tray icons > enable WritHer.
