R code for data extraction from climatic data obtained form http://www.esrl.noaa.gov/psd/thredds/catalog/Datasets/catalog.html.
Data are used for italian seasonal forecast and concerning many index related to asian moonsoon activity and sea surface temperature state in mediterranean area.
Weather type classification are done by using software developed in http://cost733.met.no/ action.
