Hello,
as I can see on this issue, we can imagine an option to configure (or not) a publish on artifact registry.
I initiate this PR (always in draft), I have some errors on npm run test without my changes, so I prefer initiate to get your opinion on this.
On my company, we have to use 1.7.7 version at maximum, so if your OK, it will be great to get this PR on this tag. I don't know if you authorize this.
