Browser extension for uploading images and videos from the internet to your PhotoPrism library via context menu.
- Go to releases
- Download the .rar or .zip file from the latest release
- Decompress the downloaded file (you should get folder with various files inside it)
- In your browser, go to "Manage extensions" menu and enable "Developer mode"
- Click on the "Load unpacked" that appears after the previous step
- Select the folder named "extension" from the decompressed file
Alternatively you can clone the repository and load the "extension" folder (which could have more features and changes than the release version), however this comes with a higher risk of having an unstable version with bugs or that may not even work.
- Click on the extension icon
- Fill the form with the URL of your PhotoPrism instance and an authentication token - how to get authentication token
- Click the "Connect" button
- Right-click an internet image or video, a button that says "Upload to PhotoPrism" should appear
- Note that some websites will not allow this button to appear and thus you can't upload the media. There is currently a WIP feature to tackle this for some websites once it's added
- Click on the "Upload to PhotoPrism" button and the image/video should appear in your library after a few seconds
