<p>Lisa Guerra has worked at NASA for 20 years on Systems
Engineering projects, and recently has been on assignment at the
University of Texas where she developed and piloted a full
semester course on Systems Engineering in the Aerospace
Engineering Department. In the future this material
may be available on the web.</p>
<p>Systems Engineering has been around a long time, as this
article from 1968 shows. The point of the article is:
don't take Systems Engineering's detailed methodology too
seriously, so seriously that design innovation is impeded by the
process. Engineering "Art and excitement" should not be
replaced by overly excessive attachment to Systems Engineering
techniques and tools. <br />
