Code of Conduct

Our pledge

The sportsdataverse project and the wider SportsDataverse community are committed to providing a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for everyone, regardless of experience level or background. We want contributing to — and using — these packages to be a positive experience for all.

Our standard

This project adopts the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, as its Code of Conduct. The full text is available at:

https://www.contributor-covenant.org/version/2/1/code_of_conduct/

In short: be respectful and considerate, assume good intent, give and accept constructive feedback gracefully, and help keep the community welcoming. Behavior that makes others feel unwelcome or unsafe is not acceptable.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies within all project spaces — the repository, issues, pull requests, discussions — and when an individual is representing the project in public spaces.

Reporting

If you experience or witness unacceptable behavior, please report it to the project maintainer at sportsdataverse@gmail.com. All reports will be reviewed and investigated promptly and fairly, and the reporter's privacy will be respected.

Project maintainers are responsible for clarifying and enforcing this Code of Conduct and may take any action they deem appropriate, up to and including a temporary or permanent ban from the project's spaces.

Attribution

Adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1. Community Impact Guidelines were inspired by Mozilla's code of conduct enforcement ladder.
