Aborted (core dumped) when saving the joystick calibration.

After the calibration process, the software, when trying to save, aborts with the following error:

Saving calibration
evjscal: jsdev.c:53: jsaxis_cal_set: Assertion `index < dev->axis_num' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

My joystick is a Genius MaxFighter F31D with gameport connection and I use a rockfire adapter from gameport to usb.

I get the same Error, when I try to save the calibration with a Thrustmaster T160000 joystick.
Saving the config for the Thrustmaster TWCS throttle works. (ArchLinux, desktop i3)

ScoreUnder has posted the fix. After cloning the repository, edit the file indicated by making the changes posted by ScoreUnder.

Then reperform the installation instructions.
