Subdirectories on windows not writable

I am attempting to install s9y 2.5.0 on windows server hosted using IIS but am unable to make the subdirectories writable the root is however writable. I have changed the permissions for my app pool, for IIS_IUSRS and for IUSR to all be able to read and write on all of the folders, have run iisreset to hopefully cycle changes, have recycled the app pool multiple times, run in different browsers. Current php version is 8.2.29.

Am i running incompatible versions?

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It is the installer that marks the subdirectories as locked?

I'm not aware of s9y installations with IIS, and also am unable to test such a setup. S9y actually relies on Apache's .htaccess file to block access to its configuration, which is something alternative servers like nginx and probably IIS do have to replicate via their config. My suggestion would be to use Apache instead - though ideally you would use a Linux server, as all development (at least as far as I'm aware) and thus all or most of the testing is happening on Linux.

Thanks for the response, I am using IIS and windows due to some constraints beyond my control. I was able to get it working with s9y 2.4.0 and PHP 8.0.30

Okay. We can leave the issue open, but will need help to fix this. I for example simply don't have a Windows system available anymore.
