Description
Currently SimplyTrack only supports website tracking for Chrome, Safari, and Edge.
For users like me who use multiple browsers for different contexts:
- Chrome → work (e.g., patent work)
- Brave → separate work context (e.g., Google Docs / OTI)
- Firefox → entertainment
it would be extremely valuable to have:
- Brave browser URL tracking support
- Firefox browser URL tracking support
Without this, website-level insights are incomplete since only Chrome activity is broken down by domain.
Questions:
- Is Brave support feasible given it's Chromium-based?
- Is Firefox support blocked by technical limitations, or could partial support be added?
Even partial support (e.g., detecting active tab URL) would be very helpful.
Happy to help test if needed.
Motivation
This would significantly improve multi-browser workflows and make SimplyTrack a complete replacement for tools like ActivityWatch or Timing.
