[Windows11_Metro10] Theme broken after new Windows Update

hey,
so first, if you haven't already, restart startmenuexperiencehost.exe from task manager. Sometimes changing themes gets it into this weird state, you can tell because the header letters (#, A, B, C etc) will become misaligned with the hover effect, but will restore to normal after restarting the process.

If that changes nothing, let me know...

What is your windows build number? I will try to reproduce this bug on my end, but they change the menu so often between builds these days that I pretty much need to know this.

If worse comes to worse and I'm unable to reproduce this, I can at least help you locate the pissing pinned apps (likely way off the top of the menu I believe) using UWPSpy and put it where it belongs, as well as any other positional adjustments needed

btw I tried now the code from this comment in another issue #417 (comment) and increased the Height (like the guy below your comment) but to 1300 instead.
In my case the pinned apps were at the bottom of the start menu.

Still the issues continue:

• the items at the top aren't aligned correctly.
• and the pinned apps can be scrolled but I can't reach the end. It gets cut off midway. I don't see the dots indicating the "pages" off pinned apps either.

that's strange that this version of the code looks like this for you, his looked broken in a slightly different way. Their pinned apps were still somewhat on the top of the menu before we did any fixes, weird that yours was below not above...

As for the misalignments at the top, you can edit the vertical position of each list fairly easily and I left instructions in the thread you referenced. The targets you want are under the #Apps list/Pinned List section. I can help with this if I can get my start menu to act like yours, but otherwise you'll need to find the correct values for the 2 Y= by checking it yourself and making small adjustments.

the pinned apps scrolling is related to the height of the list. The original height which left room for the recommended section below it had a height value that worked well, other heights I'm not sure. I'd start with multiples of the original 265, so maybe try 1325

the dots were removed when they redesigned the large start menu, they only appear now in grouped pinned apps (folder modal). Those dots are called pipsPager

so try those, and while you do that I will try to get my start menu to be like yours so I can follow and help better
