Capstone 2024

Objective: Enhancing GenerAItor – An AI-Powered Document Extraction Tool
University: RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau
Supervised by: Fraunhofer IESE
Industry Partner: Insiders Technologies
Project Duration: September 2024 – December 2024

📌 Project Overview

This project was completed as part of a Master’s Course at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. Our team collaborated under the academic supervision of Fraunhofer IESE and in partnership with Insiders Technologies, focusing on enhancing GenerAItor — a tool developed by Insiders to create document extraction services.

The goal was to improve the document processing pipeline by integrating advanced AI features and streamlining user onboarding to improve accessibility and adoption among enterprise users.

👤 My Role

Role: Data Scientist & Full-Stack Developer (AI/UX Focus)

As a core member of the team, I contributed to both the AI-driven backend and the user-focused frontend.

✅ My Key Contributions

  • 🧭 Interactive Tutorial System
    Designed and implemented an interactive onboarding tutorial system, improving first-time user engagement and reducing learning curve for enterprise users.

  • 🧠 Automatic Field Name Suggestions using LLMs
    Integrated OpenAI’s Large Language Models (LLMs) to implement automatic field name proposals, significantly enhancing the document data extraction process and improving precision in field identification.

  • 🛠 Full SDLC Participation
    Participated in the complete Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) — including requirements engineering, design, development, testing, and deployment — with a strong focus on scalable architecture and user-centric design.

🧠 Skills & Technologies Used

  • Frontend: React.js, TypeScript, Intro.js, Tailwind CSS.
  • APIs: REST APIs.
  • AI & NLP: OpenAI LLMs, Prompt Engineering, AI Agents.
  • Project Tools: GitLab, VS Code.
