Buggy inset handling in edge-to-edge apps

One issue: edge-to-edge app (with translucent navigation bar), landscape mode: Beagle applies the inset on the wrong side.

Actually all the inset handling (that's also exposed through a public API) should properly use WindowInsetsCompat instead of trying to come up with a simplification.
