It's important to post things in the right place

Often the lines can be blurry between what communications are best as GitHub Issues, Discussions, Slack threads, or Zoom meetings. I think Discussions and Issues are the blurriest, but that's OK because it's easy to convert between them.

Discussions are for:

• Things that don't need to be synchronous
  • E.g. if you're stuck, use Slack to ask for help!
  • E.g. if you want to record an idea, you can use Discussions. If the idea is formed enough to be implemented, maybe it should be an Issue.
  • E.g. if you have a question that doesn't need an immediate answer, Discussions is a good choice.
• Things we want to be findable later
  • E.g. a conversation about a developer experience concern is probably better in a Discussion than in an unpaid Slack. But maybe that could be an issue too?
• Things that we don't consider "documentation", e.g. not decision records, not diagrams, not ...?
  • E.g. if a diagram needs a change, open an Issue.

Perhaps a future task can be to write a documentation page on what lessons we've learned about what best goes where.
