  4. All measurements save locally
  5. Indicator shows pending count (e.g., "4 pending")

Auto-Sync on Reconnection

  1. When connection restores, you'll see:
    • 🔄 "Syncing..." with spinning icon
    • Progress as changes upload
  2. Success indicators:
    • "Synced" with green checkmark
    • Toast: "All changes synced"
    • Success sound effect

Viewing Sync Status

  1. Click the sync indicator (bottom-right)
  2. Detailed panel shows:
    • Connection status (Online/Offline)
    • Pending changes count
    • Last sync time
    • Failed syncs (if any)
  3. Retry button available for failed syncs

Key Features

  • 📵 Instant offline detection
  • 💾 Local storage of all measurements
  • 🔄 Automatic sync when reconnected
  • 📊 Visual sync status indicator
  • ⚡ Zero data loss during offline periods
  • 🔁 Retry mechanism for failed syncs

🏠 AR Room Templates with Spatial Recognition

What It Does

How to Use

Manual Template Selection

  1. Open AR Property Viewer
  2. Click Room Templates button (sparkle icon)
  3. Browse 8 room types:
    • 🍳 Kitchen

    • 🚪 Hallway
    • 👔 Walk-in Closet
  4. Select a room type
  5. View typical dimensions and measurement presets
  6. Click a preset to use it

Auto-Detection with Spatial Recognition

  1. Take 3 measurements to define a space:
    • Width (wall-to-wall)
    • Length (front-to-back)
    • Height (floor-to-ceiling)
  2. Open Room Templates
  3. Click Analyze Space
  4. System analyzes your dimensions
  5. Results show:
    • 🏠 Detected room type
    • 📊 Confidence percentage (e.g., "87% Match")
    • 📐 Calculated area & volume
    • 🎯 Matched spatial features
  6. Use suggested template or select different one

Using Template Presets

  1. After selecting template, view measurement presets
  2. Each preset includes:
    • 📝 Descriptive name (e.g., "Counter Height")
    • 📏 Default length suggestion
    • 🎯 Specific purpose

  • 🟠 Below 60% - Low confidence, verify manually

💡 Pro Tips

Live Collaboration

  • Use descriptive collection names (e.g., "Main Floor Kitchen - Plumbing")
  • Add tags for easy filtering (e.g., "urgent", "electrical")
  • Give contractors "View & Comment" access unless they need to edit
  • Check activity feed regularly to catch new comments
  • Resolve comments as issues are addressed

Offline Mode

  • Check sync indicator before going to field sites
  • If indicator shows "Offline", measurements still save locally
  • Keep app open during reconnection for faster sync
  • View pending count to know how many changes need syncing
  • Use "Retry Failed Syncs" if any uploads fail

AR Room Templates

  • Measure width first (shortest wall), then length (longest wall)
  • Take height measurement last for best accuracy
  • If confidence is low (<60%), manually select template
  • Each room type has optimized measurement presets
  • Use template suggestions as starting point, customize as needed
  • Template context is preserved with each measurement

🔧 Troubleshooting

Live Collaboration

Q: Contractors not seeing collection?

  • Verify they have the correct invite link
  • Check collection is shared with their contractor ID
  • Ensure they have appropriate access level

Q: Comments not appearing?

  • Check contractor has "View & Comment" or "Full Access"
  • Verify they're on the correct measurement
  • Refresh collaboration view if needed

Offline Mode

Q: Sync indicator stuck on "Syncing..."?

  • Check internet connection is stable
  • Click sync indicator to view details
  • Use "Retry Failed Syncs" button if available
  • Wait a few seconds for large datasets

Q: Pending changes not decreasing?

  • Verify connection is truly restored (not spotty)
  • Check sync status panel for errors
  • Force retry from status panel
  • Measurements are safe locally regardless

AR Room Templates

Q: Low confidence detection?

  • Verify your measurements are accurate
  • Check if room is unusual size or shape
  • Use manual template selection instead
  • L-shaped or complex rooms may have lower confidence

Q: Wrong room type detected?

  • Dimensions may be ambiguous (e.g., 10×10×9)
  • Manually select correct template from list
  • Confidence score indicates uncertainty
  • Templates are suggestions, not requirements
