New Tool: Pixe2Bytes – 1-bit Animator & Sprite Builder for u8g2

Hi everyone,

I’ve built Pixel2Bytes, an online tool designed specifically for creating monochrome icons and animations for displays like the SSD1306.

Key Features:

Frame-by-Frame Animator: Create sprites and animations directly in your browser.

Onion Skinning: See a "ghost" of your previous frame for smoother animation.

Animation Player: Preview your work at target FPS.

C-Array Export: Get uint8_t code ready to copy-paste into your u8g2 project.

Very cool, thanks for sharing this.

I was playing around a little bit with the layers. I had a fixed background and a moving foreground image. Maybe I made something wrong, but the duplicate frame option did't copy the background image (actually it was disabled, but still i would have expected that it gets copied). To fix this, i wanted to copy the background image to the other frames, but i think something like copy & paste is not there (or did i miss something?)

The move function is really cool and allows quick animations. And the layer function is brilliant.

​Thanks for the feedback, The duplicate frame feature actually clones the entire state background and all layers to the next frame so you can edit them individually. It should work exactly for the fixed background use case you mentioned. I will check why the button appeared disabled on your end.
