Thanks for the report! Not immediately clear to me why you'd get this error. Some questions to help me:

 

I'm using homebrew 4.5.12 and antidote 1.9.10

To be clear, did you install with both Homebrew and antidote (brew install olets/tap/zsh-abbr and add source /usr/local/share/zsh-abbr/zsh-abbr.zsh to your zshrc and add olets/zsh-abbr to your plugins file and, if relevant, run the Antidote bundle command), or did you install install with Homebrew and then hack a way to source the Homebrew-installed copy via Antidote?

If you do have olets/zsh-abbr in your Antidote plugins file, find out what version Antidote installed:

1. Run antidote list | grep 'olets/zsh-abbr'
2. Copy the file path in the output (will have https-COLON--SLASH--SLASH-github)
3. Run cat PASTE_THE_PATH_HERE | grep 'version="zsh-abbr', replacing PASTE_THE_PATH_HERE with the path you copied in the previous step. Copy and paste the output here. It's something like version="zsh-abbr vrsion 6.3.2" (I know, there's a typo)

• What output do you get for each of these commands?

  abbr --version

  brew info zsh-abbr | grep olets/tap/zsh-abbr

• Run these commands. What is the output for the first three commands (if there is any)?

  echo $temp_found
  unset temp_shell_vars
  unset temp_found

• Turn on zsh-abbr's debug mode: add ABBR_DEBUG=1 at the top of your .zshrc, on a new line, and then reinitialize zsh by running exec zsh. Copy and paste the output here (if there's personal info in there, feel free to redact it). To turn zsh-abbr's debug mode back off, remove ABBR_DEBUG=1 from your .zshrc and run exec zsh again.
