Opentelemetry is the main observability standard today, with support for metrics, logs, and distributed traces, supported by most vendors and tools. This project was started at Imandra, and has gained some external users and contributors; but it's time for the project to be under a broader umbrella given that one of the maintainers is leaving Imandra soon.
