the tool doesn't work for newer drone firmwares

it doesn't recognize firmware format and therefore i can't extract firmware parameters with this tool

You've used parameters from README - good you've read that. However, the README did said "as long as the file starts with xV4". Did you checked that?

Try learning linux file command, will help you in such cases.
