Vertical Video Thumbnail is messy

For landscape the generated thumbnail looks good.

But for vertical videos, the thumbnail is messy.

I think it should be padded on both sides so that the generated thumbnail will look better like the original video instead of it being generated like a landscape video and looking cropped off
