Recommended way to upgrade from development builds (5.x line) to 5.0.0

After unpacking the rssguard-5.0.0-qt6-win10.7z archive into a folder with a configured and working development builds (5.x line) (May 27, 2025), the following error message appears:

Cannot connect to database. Connection to your database was not established with error: this database file cannot be used because it comes from old major app version.

This is expected behavior, as it has been repeatedly warned about.

Is there a way to migrate between these versions without exporting and importing OPML and manually restoring all application settings?

Go to "Information" table and change the numerical value in it from 1 -> 100. That will fix it if there are no other pending DB changes.
