I just notice that Scryfall uses .webp, then I check new card and some old scan, it was pretty much -50% in KB for 2 cards I did look up (voc-99-swords-to-plowshares msc-37-professor-hulk). Picture quality was pretty 98% same
Last time when I ask about the top quality PNG, you were talking about file size, this would probably make it -40% for whole image gallery (mine is 20GB now, so 10-12GB if I would use WEBP)
and why not add support for AVIF while you add WEBP, there are few websites who use it nowadays.
