Why SyncVodStrmFiles job so long?

Hello

i am asking why the job SyncVodStrmFiles is so long to process a VOD/Serie? I guess it contacts provider to test validation but is there a way to reduce significantly the time process?

When i trigger bulk action "Sync .STRM", it take several seconds to end a VOD/Serie.
It is really necessary to head request provider?

I'm working on adding a last updated timestamp check that will help with this. Most providers return this to indicate when a series was last updated. So we can compare the last sync vs. the last update to avoid calling the provider unnecessarily, which should speed things up quite a bit!

after that I can look into running parallel operations to improve it further 😉

i am wondering why you must call the provider in order to generate STRM files? You have already the URL given by the previous playlist processing task.
You can trust it and generate STRM file without verifying the link.
