gptel--handle-error not triggering on HTTP/2 429 error

I'd like to automatically change api-key on error, I have tried to hook into gptel--handle-error. But quota expiring response does not trigger the error handler.

Thanks for reporting. This is a bug, and the error handler should definitely be called for HTTP 429. I'll look into it.

Could you also generate a log with gptel-stream set to the opposite of whatever it was in the above log?
