Assets overview resetting when searching

Describe the bug
Using the search box briefly shows matching results, but then reverts to the full list of assets.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to Assets and wait for the list to load.
2. Use the search box (just type and wait, or hit enter - does not make a difference) to narrow down the list.
3. Briefly see matching results, but after a second, the full list of assets is displayed again.
4. Continue typing in the search box.
5. Now matching results are displayed again, and now they are staying.

Expected behavior
I would expect that matching results persist.
