Fireface UFX support

Hi,

I tested oscmix with the original Fireface UFX (first generation) on Garuda Linux in Class Compliant mode. Other irrelevant hardware are Livid Base 2 midi controller and Livid Code midi controller. I've included them in case they have a purpose. I also stumbled upon this today, from over a year ago someone else asked the same thing I am. They were ignored: michaelforney#17

Current result:
oscmix sees the device ports, but rejects them as unsupported.

I attempted to Mute and Unmute Mic/Instrument 9 from the UFX front panel on all ports and received no feedback. The above SYSEX dumped automatically.

val A325 = 0xA3 -> Version 165 and 0x25 -> Load 37

So this matches your firmware version. And your UFX had a DSP Load of 37% at the moment you captured the sysex. Right?

Builds ran successfully, so you could make a first try in CC Mode using:

• the WebUI https://huddx01.github.io/oscmix/ (Chrome based browsers like FF, Brave should work)
• the oscmix bin and gtk UI from nightly releases
• Qt UI will appear in a few hours in releases, too

#Great Start!! Most basic things are solid, so instead I will start noting what needs attention below in WebUI. Still working but there are a few...

UFX does not support Room EQ natively

• WebUI will not connect to Midi after first opening and pressing the Connect button. In order to connect, WebSocket needs to be selected in Connection Type dropdown menu, then select Midi again in the dropdown menu, and the UFX will then connect to oscmix WebUI.

• Intermittently, after initial connection to the UFX with WebUI, audio is passing from Playback Analog 1/2 to Output Analog 1/2, even though the Playback fader is down. As soon as I begin to increase the PB An 1/2 fader, the level is correct. This is repeatable every time I refresh WebUI.

• Analog inputs 1-8 should not have gain control. These are line inputs only.
  Reference Level selection (-10dBV, +4dVu, and Lo Gain)

• Mic/Inst 9-12 do not have gain control, but they should. These are XLR and Line combo connectors.

• FX controls in WebUI are upside down.

• Testing FX from an input (ADAT 1) to output Analog 1/2, the FX are Post fader (FX audio is playing through the output even though the ADAT 1 fader is off)

• I do not know what "R" and "P" are on the channels.

• I think you've already addressed this in the comments, but there are some large fader gaps, large jumps from -infinity > +6.

I do not know what "R" and "P" are on the channels.
That are the Playchannel and Record Channel buttons, which affect the Durec functionality (same if you switch to rec mode in TM). However, the general drec controls are not examined yet...

For the rest, yeah, i know. It was just a first shot for now. There is still need some work to implement all the details. I will come back to you directly, as i already know, some regs are not in the file...

Edit: However, the qt UI (see nightly releases) should work with your device too. Maybe you could give it a try, if the UFX is recognised basically?

Just edited my comment above with additional bits getting GTK UI running. I will attack the qt UI tomorrow! Thanks for all this, extraordinary so far!!

Actually... I can record into the Linux DAW with the UFX and zero latency monitoring now. Currently enough control to call this a milestone! Many, many thanks!
