Pause menu can fail to render in long sessions #1391

Describe the bug
In some long sessions, the pause menu (overshell? I think that's what that's called?) will fail to render correctly and display no options. It is still possible to navigate the menu, but you cannot see what you are doing. The menu will fix itself the next time you launch the game.

I suspect this started with commit ddc72c0 but I have not confirmed that.

To Reproduce
I haven't found a super consistent and quick way to reproduce this yet, but here is my best guess.

  1. Open RB3DX and play for a good amount of time (I believe it was about an hour)
  2. Attempt to open the pause menu
  3. See that it doesn't render correctly

Expected behavior
I expected the pause menu to render correctly.
