Hermes stops randomly in Herdr

Is this a reproducible bug?

Current behavior

Currently Hermes stopped randomly while working inside Herdr, not issues without it. Tried to compare for several days.

Expected behavior

Expected that Hermes will stay working until stopped manually

Reproduction

Start 2-3h session of hermes will tool calling and subagents.

Blocks using Herdr at all

Environment

• Herdr version: 0.7.5
• Update channel (stable or preview): state
• Operating system: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
• Terminal: GNU ssh Mac
• Shell, if relevant: GNU bash, version 5.2.21(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu)

I can’t reproduce this yet because the report doesn’t distinguish a Hermes exit from a live process with a stalled pane, and the maintainer environment does not have this authenticated Hermes workload.

After it happens again, please leave the Hermes pane untouched. From another Herdr pane, find its ID with herdr pane list, then run:

Attach /tmp/herdr-hermes-stop.txt and say whether Hermes returned to a shell, froze on the same screen, or only changed status in Herdr. The file does not capture the terminal buffer, but it can include process arguments, paths, and session names; please review and redact private values before attaching it.
