Any translation or half-translation surface admits a veering triangulation (at least for a reasonable choice of vertical direction). We should make it easier to translate between veerer and sage-flatsurf. In particular in the computation of GL(2,R)-orbit closures where the guessing is done on the sage-flatsurf side and the certification on the veerer side.
NOTE: veering triangulations could also help to make the Boshernitzan criterion faster in flatsurf (instead of using interval exchange transformations)
