Dory Roadmap

This document outlines the current direction and priorities for Dory.

Dory is still in an early stage, and the roadmap may evolve as we receive feedback from users and the community.

Our goal is to build an AI-native SQL workspace that makes working with modern analytical databases fast, intuitive, and powerful.

1. Data Exploration

Improve the experience of exploring query results and understanding datasets.

Planned improvements include:

• Query result visualizations (charts)
• Column statistics and dataset summaries
• Improvements to the existing filtering and exploration tools

Expand database compatibility and improve connection management.

Planned improvements:

• MySQL and PostgreSQL support
• Improved connection management
• Faster autocomplete with metadata caching
• Better schema exploration

Make AI a core part of the SQL workflow rather than an add-on.

• SQL Copilot improvements (generation, explanation, debugging)
