Is there a way to encrypt files with a known key and not a randomly generated one?

You can use the key parameter to pass a custom key. But the key needs to be at least 32 bytes.

It could be possible to use a custom user generated password, but before that we would need to implement password hashing on the client side as well. Otherwise this is just not secure enough.
