Cyclic Voltammetry Plots with Different File Formats

I have some data obtained from a CHI instrument that I would like to plot. Would it be possible to add the option of plotting these? I attached an examples of a data file obtained from the instrument.

.bin files are the original data files generated, however I cannot attach them here.

Hi @KubaLemanski, thanks, will add it to the list! We were tracking support for CV in #462 but lost our way a bit. Can you clarify what exactly you want? I'm not sure we'll be able to read the .bin directly (we tried previously with CH Instruments and support was less than forthcoming. They recommended working with the csv export instead as .bin changes internally quite frequently. Would parsing the csv/txt you get still be helpful? How exactly do you generate that from their software?

Hi @ml-evs thank you for your quick response! Parsing the csv would definitely be helpful. The file is generated in the CHI software by going to 'file --> 'convert to text''.

Unhelpfully, the file then does not have line breaks between each of the cycles so it would be great if it was possible to input the potential used such that each cycle can be plotted separately i.e., for example if a cycle is 0.6 to 0.6 V to be able to input that information and toggle between each of the cycles. Hope this makes sense.

Ok, I'll have a play around with this! Does it give you a default file extension? i.e., did you tell it .txt or was that the default? Will just help us in assigning which reader to use and when.

Hmm, I see what you mean, but it might be better/easier for us to try and detect this automatically for you. I think it's still an open question whether CV should live in the same "block" as "electrochemical cycling" -- perhaps not, though it might be confusing if people try to upload it there... Any thoughts or preferences on that?

I believe the .txt extension is default.

As someone not yet experienced with electrochemistry I think it would be nice to have them as separate blocks, however more seasoned electrochemists may disagree.
