Changelog

All notable changes to this project will be documented in this file.

The format is based on Keep a Changelog, and this project adheres to Semantic Versioning.

[1.3.0] - 2026-05-30

Added

  • Session Banner: When the active cluster has no PVEAuthCookie, a non-blocking banner is shown above the resource list explaining that the list works through the API token but consoles need a browser sign-in. Includes a Sign in button that opens the cluster URL and a per-cluster dismiss action.
  • Empty-State Hints: The resource list now renders an explanatory message instead of being silently empty: distinct hints for "no matches for current search/filter" (with a Clear filters button), "cluster reachable but empty" (token may lack audit permissions), and "no resources to display" (check token, host reachability, sign-in).
  • Cluster Dashboard: Optional aggregated CPU, memory, and storage tiles plus node and guest health summary at the top of the resource list, with severity coloring and an "Open dashboard" toggle in inline display settings.
  • Group by Node: Optional grouping of resources by node with sticky group headers showing per-node guest counts.
  • Snapshot Management: Per-resource snapshot drawer in the detail card supports listing, creating, deleting, and rolling back snapshots, with two-step confirmations and EN/DE strings.
  • Auto-Refresh: Configurable interval (Off / 15s / 30s / 60s / 2m / 5m) for the active cluster tab; pauses while inline settings are open and resumes after manual refresh.
  • Power Confirmations: Two-step in-extension confirmation for destructive VM, container, and node power actions (stop, shutdown, reboot, pause, resume, suspend) plus an opt-out toggle in display settings.
  • Pause / Resume: First-class pause/resume buttons for QEMU guests with full localization and confirmation handling.
  • Recent Cluster Tasks Panel: Optional task list rendered alongside the dashboard, fed from /cluster/tasks with status pills (running, ok, failed) and refresh button.
  • Connection Error UX: Self-signed-certificate / TLS / network failures now surface a tailored hint plus an Open Proxmox URL action, so users can accept the certificate in one click.
  • Lazy Resource Details: Per-resource OS/IP/disks fetches are now lazy and concurrency-limited (max 4 in flight) — large clusters render their list immediately and only fetch details when a card is expanded or Expand details by default is enabled.
  • i18n: New EN/DE keys for dashboard, group-by-node, snapshots, auto-refresh, power confirmations, tasks panel, and connection error hint.

Changed

  • Settings Backup / Reset: Backup and factory-reset now include autoRefreshIntervalSeconds, skipPowerConfirmations, groupByNode, and showClusterDashboard.

Tests

  • New unit tests for snapshot endpoints, cluster tasks, pause/resume actions, connection-error categorization, and the auto-refresh helper. Source-level e2e check verifies the snapshots, dashboard, auto-refresh, and power-confirmation artifacts ship in the bundle.

1.2.2 - 2026-04-13

Added

  • Partial cluster load feedback: In All Clusters / Favorites, per-cluster refresh failures show a compact banner, error styling on the cluster tab (with tooltip), and English/German strings for the host login hint and partial-load summary.
  • E2E coverage: Playwright scenario asserting partial failure (one cluster rejects cluster/resources) while another cluster still renders.

Fixed

  • Console session login host: Log in from the session-required overlay opens the Proxmox base URL of the cluster you tried to use, not only the globally active cluster; optional host line clarifies where to authenticate.
  • Connection overlay UX: Loading error UI stays visible until Retry or a successful load; a later header refresh dismisses a stuck error overlay even when the silent refresh path is used.
  • Multi-cluster refresh isolation: All Clusters / Favorites loads use Promise.allSettled so one failing cluster does not block the rest; last-known resources for a failed cluster are kept when available.
  • Cross-cluster cache on single-tab refresh: Cached resourcesByClusterId entries for clusters not currently being refreshed are preserved instead of clearing the entire map on every fetch.
  • Per-cluster failover persistence: Discovered node URLs are written to clusters[id].failoverUrls and saved with cluster state (replacing ineffective legacy top-level failoverUrls writes for multi-cluster clients).

1.2.1 - 2026-03-16

Added

  • Calm Premium Navigation System: Introduced a calmer, premium visual hierarchy for cluster tabs and filter rows with a single strong active-state signal.

Changed

  • Filter Interaction Model: Replaced single-select All type behavior with independent multi-toggle filters for Node, VM, LXC, Online, and Offline.
  • Default Filter Semantics: Type and status filters now initialize with all toggles enabled and persist per-scope multi-select state.

Fixed

  • Node Visibility With Status Filters: Mapped node statuses (online/offline) to filter statuses (running/stopped) so nodes remain visible under active status filtering.

1.2.1-beta.2 - 2026-03-16

Added

  • UI Scale Presets: Added global UI scaling controls (Compact, Standard, Large + fine slider) for popup/sidepanel and options page.
  • Multi-Format SSH Export: Added OpenSSH, PuTTY .reg, and CSV export output with format-aware filenames and MIME types.

Changed

  • Resource Card Consistency: Unified row structure and chip placement across All, Favorites, and cluster-specific tabs.
  • Status Presentation Refresh: Updated running/stopped/unknown indicators, status filter pills, and transient power-action status chips for clearer state feedback.
  • Stats Alignment: Standardized details rows to a stable 3-column layout so progress bars share equal width and right-side values align on one vertical line.
  • Control Sizing Consistency: Rebalanced search field and settings tab sizing/weight in popup and options for better visual hierarchy.

Fixed

  • Search Field Height Regression: Fixed oversized popup search input height by constraining rendered control height to match other form controls.
  • Cross-View Scale Sync: UI scale changes now propagate live between open popup/sidepanel/options contexts via storage change listeners.

1.2.0 - 2026-03-15

Added

  • Release Screenshot Process: Switched screenshot flow to release-integrated handling (assets updated/committed in release branch PRs).

Fixed
