any updates on this ? trying to use the tft35 v3 e3 with the skr mini v3. problem i found is raspberry pi only has one true serial connection and im connected to the mainboard via the pi's usb which in turn makes the pi's gpio pins redundant.

the thing is ive seen various posts saying people have had success (one with octo print plugin and one with a plugin as a bridge). ive tried the plugin version but no joy , and im not sure how the methods would even work when no serial connections are available.

can the serial connections on the tft screen not be used? there is 4 of them.

i was thinking stamdard skr conection to screen and the pi connects

to the tft usb - and provides the serial port for klipper firmware (or to any of the other 2 free uart ports)
or
screen is disconnected from tx/rx from skr. esp wifi module connects from a second instance of a octopi or similar and updates the printer info to the screen.

has anyone looked into this previously ?
