Calculating HRV using different method and graphing it in Graphana

I would like to use a method of calculating HRV different than what Garmin does and then create a separate graph for that.

As I am not familiar with Grafana (but willing to get familiar if answer is yes): is that possible in the current setup?
I mean I would like to extend what garmin-grafana is doing and still be able to update it whenever new version is released.

Hello @techquestions

You have the intraday HR data, so you can do the custom calculation to find HRV with your own algorithm. I am not sure if Grafana will be capable of doing it directly if the calculation has complicated functions, but you can add that as a calculated field and plot that instead of the given HRV.

You would not have to modify any script or code in this project. This is you can have your calculation in a custom panel. And even share that with the community. See #123
