🐛 [Mealie] Import does not work whereas it's OK with other docker

Hello,

Home Assistant : last version at this day
Mealie Application : last version at this day

Problème : i have another Mealie docker that work since a long time: i have export all my recipes from this instance but impossible to import in you Mealie instance whereas it's OK on différents Mealie Docker that i've made...

When i've installed your application, 9000 was ever use (and i do not found witch application was use this port) so i've put and define 9001 for the WEB interface.

Unfortunately, i do not have access to LOG or DEBUG mode in your Mealie...

Do you have advice ? a solution ? did you found a bug in the import from your docker instance ?

Reproduction steps

1 - Start new Mealie instance 
2 - go to "Restaurer une sauvegarde"
3 - click on the "import" button
4 - select the backup file you prepare on another instance
5 - nothing appear and append whereas the file should appear in the web interface and an option should propose you to confirm the import

Hi, please add a full startup log. Often ingress can have issues for such files handling, have you tried importing with direct ip:port ?

I have tried from my instance to backup and restore and it worked from ingress. A key difference is perhaps that I had my file already in the location /addon_configs/db21ed7f_mealie/backups ; you could try to place yours at this place using the Filebrowser Quantum addon

Finaly i've use your addon Filebrowser Quantum and put in the backup file in the backup directory (mealie_v3.22.0_2026.08.25.22.18.38.zip : 87 Mo)

When i came back to the interface, i've found my backup file... I started the import... The interface crashed at least six times before finally managing to import (I hope) all my recipes.

In my docker i use to use Postgres whereas it sqlite that seems to be use here.
I'll try later to export theses variables in order to try to use Postgres that i use for another plugin !

Great that it worked ! Indeed there is a Postgres addon also that could hopefully be used if I you want all self contained in homeassistant
