When I created the main repo for hosting and added the .md file, that file was getting hosted. I tried figuring out why, but couldn't. The jekyll web deployment reminded me of the terrifying node.js shenanigans; because of some version conflicts and the lack of a work ubuntu system, the bundler refused to install. However, I managed to install it on my local server. Although, Github Pages gave up, and displayed the following build error: "The process '/opt/hostedtoolcache/Ruby/3.1.4/x64/bin/bundle' failed with exit code 16". Is it because of a difference in host ruby versions? How do I fix it for hosting? I have tried multiple times to fix it, but to no avail. If anyone has any insight, please let me know. (Generative AI has unfortunately failed me). By |

This is my live website for the html page: https://yoonsuh3.github.io/engagementparty.html I couldn't get past this stage. I think it's because my username in this laptop is configured in Korean that I couldn't download jekyll. |

Here's the link to my static site. I couldn't get it to show my code for the longest time, even after changing the readme file and trying to route it to a different folder. The issue ended up being that my file wasn't named index.html. I still couldn't figure out how to get the font formatting to work, but I wasn't sure if that was because it was a static site or not. You can find my repository here. I attempted to publish it with Jekyll, but I honestly just got really confused, even after consulting with ChatGPT. Edit: Never mind!! I got the formatting to work. |

Hi, I have not yet reached the point where I can use GitHub to host my Jekyll HTML file. My Jekyll file is still locally hosted on my PC. I have had challenges with my Gemfile and bundle, which is where my progress has been stalled. Part of my time has been spent downloading and installing Github onto a newer PC and I have been able to get Github.dev to work properly on this newer computer. So, I created a Markdown file that documented the steps of my progress working on this assignment. Here is a link to my markdown file. https://github.com/pptorchia/is578-introduction-to-dh/blob/main/Static%20HTML%20Tools%20Installation.md I don't care for how the markdown file has formatted my documented steps. My text file has the steps formatted line by line. Thanks, |
