How about, replace:
"a place of creators creating the tools for other creators to create complicated things elegantly."
with...
"a place for collaborative creation."
..?
There's no mention of what's being created (thus avoiding assumptions about the things-to-be-created ~ I might be working in the realms of literature, art, dance or music so "tools" doesn't quite fit). I wonder what you think about "collaborative" as the essence of creating-with, creating-for or creating-from, which I think the original line was emphasising.
It's also a lot shorter (and that may not be a good thing). ;-)
