[Bug]: Steam crashes on startup when Millennium is installed V3.2.0

Describe the Bug

Steam fails to open entirely when Millennium is installed, whether installed manually or via the installer. Steam launches fine without Millennium. Reinstalling Steam and Millennium did not resolve the issue.

Steps To Reproduce

1. Windows 11 (XOS), Steam stable channel, Millennium 3.2.0, no plugins or themes enabled
2. Install Millennium (manual or via installer)
3. Launch Steam
4. Steam does not open at all

I too am also having this issue, brand new fresh windows install, new steam installation, tried many of millennium version, im on windows 23h2, tried rebooting etc, nothing has worked.

where are you from? for me, in Russia, seems to be only working with vpn

Try the latest Millennium beta, it should fix this.

tried v3.3.0-beta.3 but did not have any luck with it steam shows up in taskmanager but that's about it.
talked with a friend who had the same issue, they reinstalled windows to 25h2 and it started to work for them. i'm still on 23h2 where the issue persists.
Tho another friend who is on 25h2 26200.6725 has same issue as i have

@konnatoad Does it still occur without Millennium installed?

@shdwmtr no steam launches fine without millenium. Millenium worked fine til, I'd say around halfway to may. Around when steam market updated. That's rough estimate of when it stopped working out of the blue whenever millenium was installed.

@shdwmtr update: i went and tried older releases. Using 2.36.1 steam launched fine with millenium installed. tho rest of millenium did not work but atleast it shows millenium menu option (can't open it tho) but right when i try 3.0.0 is when it breaks completely and won't even launch
