how to change language?

hi! the first class we heard a lot about the language inbedded into github. I saw this post that outlines some thoughts I had about how the term "master" can be offensive. Is this something we can change? How?

I personally think "main" or "controller" would be nice options. I guess if lots of people make this proposal, the topic would be brought up at the Github committee.

I believe you can call branches whatever you want... However, as convention, terms like "master" mean something to the users. Some have switched to "production" vs "master" or "deployment" to mitigate

For the three repos for Open Source Studio, I've changed all of them to source instead of master. Since these aren't repos for software releases I thought maybe this made sense over production or deployment. (release is also a good one!)

Here are the steps I followed. First in terminal:

git branch source
git checkout source
git push origin source

Then on GitHub, in Settings --> Branches, I switched from master to source:

Finally, on the branches page I deleted master.

Perhaps we should document these instructions somewhere? Any volunteers?
