Items & Obstacles

In Sonic TI-Blast, you will encounter various objects represented by text characters:

Sonic (S): The player character and protagonist of Sonic TI-Blast

Eggman (E): The main antagonist of Sonic TI-Blast. Chase him down!

Flicky (F): Sonic needs to save these small birds to progress through the zones. In some stages, they will tag along behind Sonic.

Rings (o): Collect Rings to be able to take a second hit and enter Big Rings(after collecting at least 25(50 in hard mode) Rings.). When they appear in a line, they can be used to lightspeed dash over pits.

Big Rings (θ): Big rings can be used to warp to different places, primarily special zones containing the Chaos Emeralds.

Spikes (*): These spiky obstacles will cause you to lose all your Rings upon contact. If you have no Rings (or you are playing in hard mode) and touch spikes, you will die and have to restart the act.

Ring Gates ([): These gates require a certain number of Rings to open. They often hold Flickies.
