Having just sat with @breichl trying to look at hi-frequency output, not knowing the value of DTBT was an inconvenience. When DTBT is calculated by the model (i.e. input parameter DTBT<0.), we once used to log the value as a comment in the doc files at initialization, and also to stdout each time it was reset (according to DTBT_RESET_PERIOD). Neither record appear to be present in our production runs.
