Catalogue for observational datasets on glade?

marbl-ecosys/cesm2-marbl#3 and marbl-ecosys/cesm2-marbl#4 (and probably some others) make it seem like it would be useful to have a catalog pointing to a variety of observational datasets on glade. Does this exist already? If it doesn't, should I build it? And does it make sense to have a single catalog for all obs, or should each component have its own? (e.g. ocean-obs, atm-obs...)

I could see developing individual collections for key assets, like WOA, for instance. I would consider what attributes are necessary to define and query the data to determine what belongs in the same collection.

However, this is rather a wrapper around the different paths of observational datasets which have very inconsistent filename and directly relies on intake-xarray.
