Updating via UniGetUI Duplicates In Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs

I installed Oh My Posh v 26.23.6 on the other day and then UniGetUI told me that v 26.23.7 was available, so I updated.

What I expected to happen is that an in place upgrade would be done, but instead I see both versions in Control Panel. If this happens for every version, then I will end up with tons of duplicates.

If I uninstall the older version via Control Panel, it actually breaks the Oh My Posh install and I have to install everything from scratch, which is a bit of a pain.

I saw this similar issue, #5988, which has been closed and recommended opening a new discussion.

When I update using winget and standalone installer this never happens. So maybe that tool does something incorrect as the installer itself does not show this behaviour.

I didn't use the standalone installer. I just installed directly using UniGetUI, which calls winget. The guy who manages the UniGetUI repo says it would probably be an Oh My Posh or winget issue, since UniGetUI doesn't directly manage the update, it just calls winget.

It's not a huge deal, I guess., because there's only ever 2 versions in Control Panel. I might just not use it to manage Oh My Posh in the future, but for now I will live with it.

But removing either version from Control Panel will definitely break my install.
