If I may add, in addition to the selfless folks who have been working on this program to make Logos available to Linux user, the latest AppImage release (v48.0.0.283 - I believe) is working perfectly for my needs. Starting from installation, to configuration and running the app. I heard one comment (from somewhere) that the media files don't work but since I'm not using media that was not an issue. And I've seen it while downloading my books, the informative-media-while-u-wait didn't work. But I was surprised to see the Media Tool work. It opened in a floating Logos window or overlay. But I didn't test it since I'm not using that right now. I extensively use Layouts with Notes, Bibles, etc. and they're working fine. I have an old Dell PC with Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-4130 (4) @ 3.40 GHz and 16GB of RAM. And Logos runs fast after the initial configurations and startup were completed. I tweaked Wine to use the old OpenGL and ignore Vulkan since my PC doesn't have support for Vulkan and I kept getting issues with any Wine application. So I'm am so ecstatic because I couldn't get this to work in Debian 12 (bookworm). And I just transitioned to 13 (trixie). I'm a beginner-to-almost-intermediate linux user. Great work and many thanks. |

Hey just wanted to chuck an appreciation post in here. I love when people put aside their time to do something like this, getting a program working for us Linux users, and just want to say thankyou!
