Upgrading from

0.84.0 is not injecting the headers.
1.16.0 with unified service tagging, causes an issue where we are signing a request to ans AWS service. the service fails as the request does not match the signature generated before the request.

ini_set("datadog.distributed_tracing", "0"); will disable it, until you set it back to "1".

There's no functionality to globally disable it for only some requests, matching specific urls. But maybe that's totally sufficient for you?

We would like to only disable it for specific requests only. As part of setting up the unified tagging, we identified a few URLs that are not tolerant to adding the additional datadog headers to the request, therefore the associated functionality is broken. This requires us to hold on implementing the unified tagging until this ability exists.

Hi, Up ! We have the same issue on our side using aws bedrock. It breaks the signature and the request failed.
