Using the latest LinuxMint 22.3 Cinnamon and the latest version of this theme from master, multiple start menu background and highlight colors do not match this light theme colors. They are dark theme colors, probably inherited from the default theme and not overridden.
I also tested the Windows-10-Dark theme and it looks alright -- probably because those inherited dark colors work alright in a similar dark theme.
